From
the year 2002 on, we have been making use of the base funds

2,800,000 RMB has been successively put into the sustention
for faculties to conduct academic exchanges both at home and
abroad, the sponsorship of important academic conferences and
the invitation of scholars both home and abroad for lectures.
Through these construction measures, the scientifically
supporting conditions of the department has been rising to a
high level, and a good foundation has been laid to the
construction of both the faculty group and the academic
echelons, and the training of graduate students as well.
Meanwhile, we have invited world renowned scholars to be
part-time professors, among them are Cheng Zhong-ying, Du
Wei-ming, Wu Yi, Huang Qing-xuan, Huang Jun-jie, Tang Yi-jie,
who would regularly give lectures to the Ph.D students. We
have also invited Tang Yi-jie and Meng Pei-yuan as part-time
